TxDOT to Perform Striping Changes on Westbound RM 2222 near RM 620 July 19, 2018
WHAT: Lane restriping on westbound RM 2222
WHEN: Monday, July 23, 2018 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.
WHERE: Westbound RM 2222 between the Wells Fargo Bank building entrance and RM 620
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 23, the Texas Department of Transportation will restripe the westbound lanes of RM 2222 from approximately the Wells Fargo Bank building to RM 620. This will allow longer cue lines for drivers turning onto RM 620, improving mobility and enhancing safety.
In addition to the restriping, crews will also be installing flexible delineators on RM 2222, to discourage illegal left turns. (See above map.) This work will occur the evening of July 23, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Lane closures will be required to perform the work and motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area. TxDOT asks that drivers be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
This work is being done in advance of two projects that will add a bypass lane from RM 620 to RM 2222, and widen portions of RM 2222. For more information on these projects, visit TxDOT.gov and search for “RM 2222.”
