e.org. Ticket price increases at the door to $15 dollars for all ages. Accessible ASL performance interpretation is available Friday, March 3rd.
“Although our actors are comprised of elementary students, this is not your average elementary play,” said Ivonne Mercado, RPST President. “Audiences can expect a Broadway caliber show. And because this is our 10th anniversary, we have raised the bar higher than ever before. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this show!”
By purchasing tickets, patrons help support RPST’s mission of enriching the lives of young children through the art of musical theatre. Studies show that arts education helps foster a love of learning, improves student confidence, critical thinking and creativity and fosters social harmony and appreciation of diversity.
“For the past six months, RPST students have tirelessly prepared for their roles. I am proud to be the show’s Presenting Sponsor and hope everyone in the Four Points community will come see these talented young stars ‘ROAR’ – giving them the sold out show they greatly deserve,” said Dr. RJ Jackson, owner of RJ Orthodontics.
About The Lion King, Jr.
A lively stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 Disney film, The Lion King, Jr. is the story of a young lion prince living in the flourishing African Pride Lands. Born into the royal family, precocious cub Simba spends his days exploring the sprawling savanna grasslands and idolizing his kingly father, Mufasa, while youthfully shirking the responsibility his position in life requires. When an unthinkable tragedy, orchestrated by Simba’s wicked uncle, Scar, takes his father’s life, Simba flees the Pride Lands, leaving his loss and the life he knew behind. Eventually companioned by two hilarious and unlikely friends, Simba starts anew. But when weight of responsibility and a desperate plea from the now ravaged Pride Lands come to find the adult prince, Simba must take on a formidable enemy, and fulfill his destiny to be king. A vibrant and exciting tale from the great creatives at Disney, The Lion King, Jr. is a story of love and redemption that nobody should miss.
