Supplies Donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and PATH of Smith County

AUSTIN, Texas (August 12, 2014) – A school supply drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and PATH (People Attempting to Help) of Smith County was held at United Heritage Credit Union branch locations and corporate offices in July. More than 1,560 school supplies valued at over $1,780 were collected from United Heritage employees and members.

The school supply donations will help low income children in Travis, Williamson, Hays and Smith counties. The drive was arranged by Team United Heritage, a group of civic-minded Credit Union employees who volunteer their time and resources to support charitable work in local communities.

On Friday, August 8, 2014 supplies were delivered to Big Brothers Big Sisters for preparation and distribution to children in need. Supplies collected for PATH will be distributed to schools in Smith County.
