Steiner Ranch residents to walk dogs and raise money for a good cause

Steiner Ranch residents are gearing up for their second annual community dog walk to raise money for local dog rescue charity, Wags, Hope and Healing, on Saturday, February 22, at 9am.

The Steiner Community Wag and Walk—a leisurely 1.75 mile journey—begins and ends at John Simpson Park in Steiner Ranch where participants can also check out adoptable rescue dogs, browse products and services of local businesses, and bid on impressive silent auction items.

The fundraising event has been organized by Wags, Hope and Healing volunteers and Steiner Serves – a group of volunteers in Steiner Ranch who put on events and awareness campaigns every month to benefit causes that are close to their hearts.

Wags, Hope and Healing is based out of Johnson City where they rehabilitate dogs in small numbers on their five acres of rolling hills. Money generated from event registration, silent auction bids and sponsorships will be donated to the charity, which rescues, rehabilitates and finds forever homes for dogs that were victims of abuse or neglect.

Early-bird registration, which also includes an event t-shirt, is $20 for adults before February 4th, $10 for youth and is not limited to Steiner residents. Walkers can bring their dog or walk solo and are asked to arrive at 9am. Registration is available at
