Congressman Lamar Smith Delivers the Keynote Address at Four Points Business Expo

Austin, TX – Getting the 3rd quarter off to a vibrant start, Four Points Chamber of Commerce launches the first Four Points Business Expo and Networking Reception, Tuesday, October 19 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Highlighting this new community evening event is an address given by Texas Congressman, Lamar Smith.  Community businesses support this free evening with refreshments including hors d’oeuvres and beverages at the River Place Country Club, 4207 River Place Boulevard in Austin. This is a unique opportunity to get to know neighbors and businesses in the community where we live, work and play and hear from our Texas Congressman.

Congressman Smith recently hosted two small business forums for constituents in San Antonio and Austin. These forums are part of a nationwide initiative called America Speaking Out, which is designed to start an honest conversation between Americans and their representatives. “I want to hear from my constituents, who have valuable experience and a personal perspective on what policy makers in Washington can do to foster a healthy economic environment for small businesses,” said Smith

Congressman Lamar Smith, a senior member of the Texas Congressional Delegation, ?has been named one of the 100 most influential people in Washington by the National Journal and one of the nation’s top “influencers and innovators” by Fast Company Magazine, which serves the technology industry. Congressman Smith is the Ranking Republican Member of the Judiciary Committee.

Now closing in on 100 strong and growing, the Four Points Chamber of Commerce brings businesses together along highway 620 from Hudson Bend and Mansfield Dam to Anderson Mill and along Ranch Road 2222 from Jester to Volente to support business growth in the community.
